The village of Msawa was in dire need of a bridge to connect its residents. Youth Empowerment Towards Development (YETOD) mobilized the community to take ownership of the problem. Through community-led development initiatives, residents came together to contribute resources, skills, and time.

Youth Empowerment Towards Development (YETOD) is geared to drive community led development projects in Nkhata Bay by intentifying community-led projects and mobilising communities to take a leading role in the development by organising and contributing resources towards the projects. With different partners, including Mudzi Connect and International Movement for Community-led Development (MCLD) who champions shift the power programs through community foundations and CLD tool. We have been part of the journey and we are excited to be part of the Movement in Malawi.

Youth Empowerment Towards Development (YETOD) is excited to announce its 2025 Annual Youth Conference, themed "Youth voices in leadership: Engaging Political Leaders for Meaningful Change." This conference aims to empower young people to take an active role in governance and democratic processes in Malawi

Yetod is training Area Development Committee (ADC) a local government structure in T/A Malanda

Together with 42 youth led organisations, we developed and launched the AYSRHR-J Global Road map for Action (GRA)

Community Engagement meetings with community structures designing and planning together on community led projects

Yetod is training NGOs, Youth and Women organisations from the Northern Malawi in CLD tools

Gender Action Learning System(GALS) and PYD training the Youth leaders from Nkhata Bay and Kasungu Districts
